Get Personal
March 9th, 2007 at 1:01 pm by azwan. Filed under Ramblings.I was at SAP Infoday yesterday. Nothing new. They presented their products roadmap and introduce new products. Lunch was not only better than average but Crowne Plaza buffet was great. We almost forgot that we have a seminar to continue. I was enjoying my chocolate ice cream when they announced “Time’s Up!”. Arrggh!
One of the speakers in his presentation showed a slide about the biggest restaurants. About 5 of them. Mcdonald’s The Dome, London, Royal Dragon, Bankok, and others. He then asked which one is the biggest. “Ahh .. the guy in the cream shirt”, he was referring to me. Spontaneously I answered McD. No, it’s not McD. Another guy from Genting answered it correctly and got some vouchers to somewhere. The biggest is the Mang Gorn Luang (Royal Dragon) restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. It can seat up to 5,000 customers and is manned by a staff of 1,200. It’s very big, 4 acres. There are 541 waiters, who wear roller skates to enable them to serve up to 3,000 meals an hour.
Anyway, going to an IT seminar does not mean it has to be boring and all about geek stuff. Take blogging for example. Sometimes you need to forget about niche or search engine optimization (SEO). Get personal once in a while.
