Harbour Place
April 7th, 2007 at 11:00 am by azwan. Filed under Ramblings, Work.Last Monday, I moved in to the new apartment that the company provided for the project team. Park View Tower at Habour Place. Somewhere in Butterworth along the Chain Ferry road. I am not very familiar with the area yet. It’s only about 15-20 minutes drive from office. It is a 3 bedroom apartment and they have swimming pools and a gym. Both I don’t have the time to visit yet. Been working late lately. The earliest I leave office was about 8PM. The view is great, I’m on the 28th floor. The tv, fridge and washing machine haven’t arrive yet so the view is my entertainment for the moment. There’s no broadband

The traffic was bad. Luckily on that particular day, I was able to go out early and go back to Sungai Petani. If not I will be stuck as a lot of people are queueing up for the ferry.
Anyway, work is tough. Our functional team is assisted by 5 consultants. There’s one from India (a Singaporean PR) with a strong ascent. Another from Germany whom has not arrive. 2 locals and another one is from China. This guy is a problem. He can write/read in English but he speaks in Mandarin. Big problem for me as I need to rely on translators instead of speaking directly. Anyone knows any crash course for Mandarin in 3 days? It would be a great help.
