How to start a Blog

In my previous money made post, I was just showing you that money can be made from the internet without even investing a single cent. People always say that you need money to make money. You don’t. You can start for free like I did with Blogger.

Blogger To tell you the truth, I only knew Blogger and Wordpress when I started blogging. I have never heard of Myspace or even Friendster at that time although they exist. There are a lot of sites offering free blogging tools nowadays but I still find Blogger and Wordpress, offer you the best options. I think most people would recommend the same. In terms of blogging for money, Blogger does not have any restriction and being a part of Google, setting up Adsense is simple. On the other hand advertisement is not allowed in wordpress.com, especially Adsense. Other types of advertisement may not be allowed either. Anyway, for details, you need to check its TOS.

In terms of functionalities, Wordpress do have the edge over Blogger, but it is catching up. Their recent upgrade, Blogger Beta, have introduce some features that are only available in Wordpress previously. Both are also widely supported in terms of themes, plugins and misc tools. You can even host both with your own hosting and domain.

There are also sites that offer revenue sharing. They’ll tell you to blog frequently with whatever content you like. The portion of your share are often, a small amount. If you’re blogging for money just enough to buy you a cup of teh tarik once in a while, that’s ok. But if you were thinking of more, good luck using these sites.

Anyway, when it comes to blogging, the first step is usually the hardest part. Register both, with Blogger and also Wordpress. Take some time to learn their functionalities. Visit others sites within those two and have a feel which one suites you better. Just Do it!

WordPress.com is one of the service that free from spam unlike the blogger.com

hahaha.. i think so… friendster n myspace blogger..? wordpress is better than that. why..? because wp can install plugin, change our theme and the presentation really nice.

I prefer wordpress too but I do hv another active site with blogger.com.

i tot u gonna give step by step tutorial on how to start a blog and start making money. when i read the title, i was saying to myself…safe all my trouble writing the same post in my blog for my kuwait fren who wants to know bout blogging!
