Alexa Traffic Ranking Update

When I posted about Alexa Traffic Ranking last month, I promised that I will give an update of my traffic ranking by end of that month. I actually forgot until I was reminded by Cikgu Azleen. I wrote in that post that DoshDosh listed 20 ways on how to increase (which actually means lower is better) your Alexa traffic rank, but I only use one of it. That’s only using Alexa Widgets. It started at 703K and went down to 693K after 2 days and now after exactly 1 month, it went down further to 467K. See the widget on my right sidebar.

I can say : It Works.

Well, check out DoshDosh and see which one works for you. Or try all 20. As I said before, if you are doing paid reviews, Alexa Ranking and Google’s Page Rank are important if you are looking for higher payment.

Just using that widget can increase the rank? Maybe I should try it myself.. I’ll tell you the results..

Haha.. saya punya Alexa Ranking jatuh la.. visitor dah kurang. Adakah disebabkan itu Azwan? Adeh.. sangap betul Steamyx ni.. geram tul!!

There 20 ways, try another. This is still an experiment for me, I might try the rest later like Kucau did on the alexa redirect at his mybloglog.

your 3 mos change is 3,500%, very impressive. I don’t really care about Alexa for now, but I like to maintain or increase my PR hehe

Ha..ha… mekaseh … ha.. ha.. I want my Alexa ranking to be good for my paid post although there’s none yet on this blog. Now it is already below 500K, I am ok with it but let see how much lower can it go.

Google Page Rank is another story, if you want it high fast then plug all the leaks. Put nofollow tag on all external link but this will be bad for your reputation, don’t you think.

Did you find out if it was just a coincedence or if installing the widget actually increased your traffic/rank?

It does not increased my traffic, I don’t think it is related but it does increased my rank.
