My Sony Erection Ericsson was playing hide and seek last week. The screen suddenly went kaput. Sometimes you see it sometimes you don’t. Texting was like hell 
. At that time, changing to a new one was the only choice.
I was a Nokia user before but since using Sony Ericsson, I lost my appetite for Nokia. Maybe it’s the user interface, maybe it’s the camera quality or maybe it’s the design, I am not sure which one but at the moment I am a fan of Sony. I used a PDA before. For a while. Found it either too bulky or too much functions which I don’t need and some are damn bloody expensive, like the E90. I am looking for a camera phone with a better photo quality than the current one. Not too bulky, not too expensive, no flip phone etc … With the criteria set, my adventures of looking for a new phone began

As usual, the net is my main source of info other than friends and family. Sony Ericsson S500i caught my attention but I think it’s a bit too girlish for me. Then I saw K810i and it immediately caught my attention. It has 3.2-megapixel camera, auto-focus and a xenon flash. I will be able to blog (blogger blog only) all the pictures taken directly from the phone, which the K810i will automatically set up.
Went to Sony Styles KLCC on Tuesday to have a feel. It has the actual phone for you to play-play. Like the look and the simple design. It has a rather interesting keypad. The small circular silver keys are striking to look at but to touch and feel it, it wasn’t as smooth or as soft as ….
… her dress …ha..ha. let me finish ok .
The unusual looking keys made texting worst. After getting a 2nd opinion from my wife, we decided to repair my Z520i instead. It cost less than RM100. Still using the old Sony Ericsson but I get to keep my money. A new phone will have to wait.
I am still open to suggestions for a new phone. Anybody?

k810i is the successor to k800i. there’s not much different in the two, slimmer bod, extra functions to the camera (shadow fix). other than that, it’s pretty much the same, include send to blog thingy. same nice hi reso screen, 3g connection and what not…
my opinion, get the k800i. it has the normal size rubber feel keypad which made the texting a pleasure. its cheaper than k810i if you don’t mind getting the old model…

I saw that too. Actually K800i is much better than K810i. A successor supposed to be better right, but somehow it isn’t. Anyway, I have the money already and since there will be a lot of camera phone coming out, I’m keeping my option open

Saw K850i in the net but not available at sony styles … and i think it’s going to be more expensive that K810i … I have made up my mind to only look again for a new one, next year. Christmas is almost near. Most companies are introducing new products during that time.

i don’t like PDA lah Ktom. A lot of function but I don’t think I will use it all. I got my notebook with me and anything very-very important, it will be in my ‘normal’ phone reminder .. if not, it will only be in my lotus notes calendar. Good enough for me
As for the camera, i find my existing one too big. that’s why I’m looking for a slim camera phone that can take good candid pictures.

im using the k800i. Best phone i’ve used so far (of course tak setanding a 6 mp digital camera laa :P) the only bad thing is batt life is a bit low.

Am using D900. Got a very friendly menu, the friendliest I ever had. Sending text to 30 people or more at one time is a breeze. Got good MP3 player to listen while commute by tube. Really love this slider phone.
