Suddenly some big names are promoting the same thing at the same time. It’s all about BlogRush, either through emails or from feeds at my Google Reader. Starting from Gobala Krishnan, Yaro Starak, John Chow and Dosh Dosh, to name a few. All of them were talking about BlogRush, a simple traffic exchange widget you can install on your blog to increase traffic.
How Does It Work?
Basically, you will gain credit every time the widget is displayed on your blog. For example, if you get 100 pageviews daily, you latest post will be displayed 100 times across other blogs and it’s like MLM, the earlier you join and the more people you introduced, you will gain more exposure. Even so, more exposure doesn’t necessary means more traffic.
However, there’s bug! I noticed a bug when I visited John Chow’s blog just now, the widget is showing link to his own blog. You don’t want that when you are exchanging traffic, but it’s still in Beta. I am sure they will fix that.
What Do I think About BlogRush?
I don’t know whether you will gain any traffic from it or not. If you do, you still have to work hard to convert those traffic to readers and then to buyers. It’s still very new but it seems to get a lot of attention (including from myself). It looks like there’s too much hype about BlogRush especially when it is from John Reese, a so called IM mega star. Sorry, I don’t know this guy. Never knew him before this and I don’t think he knows me either 
I am not against traffic exchange, but since I am running Google Adsense ads on my blogs and Google already said that they don’t like traffic exchange program. But then, BlogRush works differently. If gives you exposure and you will only get traffic if people click on your link.
So?
No harm trying. It may bring the traffic that you have been waiting for. Get BlogRush!

as for the high wage earner, not that high lah. A new graduate will say it’s high but for someone who has been working 10 years ++ might say it’s normal …… and if compared with some of my IT friends, I am on the low side.

There seem to be mixed reactions about this. Arguably, the click conversion rate can be very little especially when the widget is put somewhere on the moon. Perhaps, we get 1 click from 1000 impressions. But let’s try first; if we can recruit hundred generation of down lines our fortune might change. I also hope we can change the widget scheme and color later. Not so user friendly.

yerla.. am sendiri belum dapat track lagi sebarang stats yang masuk keblog am… sebab diorang sedang beta dan banyak yang di disablekan lagi… sekurangnya dalam masa 48-60 jam lepas join baru boleh tengok traffic stats..
nak kata tak user friendly pun tak jugak… sebab am suka kaler dia tu…

no customization is allowed at the moment. there is an increase of traffic lately but not from BlogRush. It is still new. Lets wait until Raya.
Anyway, since it is reading from your RSS, the best way to get attention is to make sure that your title is enticing enough, like “BLOGRUSH SUCKS!” .. ha .. ha ..

Kalau macam ni aku kena mulakan blog BI la pulak , tapi kalau dalam BI tu kurang feel rasanya. Aku rasa ramai problogger yang buat review tu dibayar untuk review pasal BlogRush ni tak kesah lah janji dapat info terbaru…
