Don’t throw that old PC

Not just yet 
I was reading the star online a few days ago and read about a PC Recycling campaign. It is a joint effort between Dell, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Kelana and eight Petaling Jaya residents associations to ensure that old computers do not end up in the landfill. It’s a great idea but … there’s always a but .., they are only paying 40 sen per KG for your old computers. Lets just say that the whole set only weights 10 KG, you can make RM4 out of your old computer, yeh!
For RM4, you are wasting :
> your time to look for the place
> mileage, wear and tear of your car
> petrol consumption
> parking fees
> toll, there’s always a toll somewhere in the Klang Valley
You need to spend maybe RM50 just to gain RM4 
What a good investment! Ha .. ha .. that’s from a self-centered person, with no regard to others, point of view. MBPJ environment committee chairman Datuk Dr Wong Sai Hou said that “We hope this campaign, with the incentive, can raise awareness and improve the attitude of Malaysians in recycling.”
He did make me aware of the incentive alright. Anyway, please ignore my comments ha.. ha.. I was bored.
If you really have an old computers that is collecting dust and you are living near that area, why not join their effort to save the planet. It’s our planet and it’s up to us to save it.

in a lot of component. tell you what… in 100 PCs, u will get only tiny amount of pure gold. and they got that through rigorous process…

Tomorrow is “Malaysia : Budget 2008″ day. Will they raise the sin taxes especially on cigarettes. Will we see the price of cigarettes go up further. Harga rokok baru 20 = RM18.00?
Baru orang kata perokok ni mesti kaya, duit banyak untuk dibakar. ha .. ha.. when I was studying, a pack of Dunhill 20 only cost me RM2.40

How about stufffing the old computers with bricks. At least we can cover some petrol cost and still save the earth.
In London the council will collect the old computers for recycling if we just leave them in front of the house along with the refused garbage. A lot of time somebody else will grab the old computers before the council collects them.

yup… must be.. they think the old pc are still in good condition and can use that… u collect some parts from every single house who have throw this “garbage”… and just remake it and sell to the people… in ebay maybe… really easy money…

jarang la pejabat gov nak jual balik pc dorg… cam am skrg di LPM, bhg IT lg…. memang pc2 diguna sampai takleh guna…. kemudian dimasukkan senarai lupus…. biasa ade je pc yang sengaja dimasukkan dalam senarai lupus… sb nak ambik barang dia buat spare part… benda yang biasa jadik cam mother board tinggal gitu jer… am n 2 budak IT, keluarkan mother board tu beli casing, carik sini sikit, sana sikit, add ram (P4 slalu ditinggalkan dengan motherboard tu) so siap satu recond pc n jual… dalam 800-1000 boleh dapat sebuah… ikut spec la dorg nak camner kan…
kalau betul ade melaka gov nak lelong….mau la jugak… LCD will be nice kannn..!! jimat space sangat…

saya jual monitor buruk saya dapat rm7. mahal jugak laaa beli dengan harga rm120 second punya… harga asal rm300 kalo tak silap… miahahahaaaa… biasalah kalo dah rosak, msti dah tak ada harga mahal dah…

Aku ada banyak pc lama kat kampung..Entah macam mana boleh ada aku pun naik heran..Hahaha…
Walau apa pun terjadi, aku takkan jual pc aku, aku sayang pc aku yg tengah guna sekarang, walaupun dah tua dan outdated, tapi masih mampu berkerja untuk aku..Hehe..
kalau nak angkat yg baru pun, mungkin aku akan amik laptop, senang aku nak buat kerja bila balik kampung nanti..
Sori ya Azwan, lama tak singgah sini, aku baru balik dari Johor..Asyik out-station ja aku ni,wakakaka…
