12th General Election, Malaysia

February 15th, 2008 at 12:44 am by azwan. Filed under Malaysia, SEO, Traffic.

Start your engines political blog owners, the race is about to begin. So, it’s official. 222 parliamentary seats and 505 state seats are at stake, an also the future of Malaysia. The Election Commission has set Feb 24 for political parties to nominate candidates and polling day is on March 8.

As Akula said it, thats about 2 weeks of poison laced tongues, back stabbing, sweet promises, veiled threats, character assassinations, money politics, development bribes and God knows what else.

Be Prepared to hear stories that you never heard before .. but .. but .. not from this blog. Unless, my friends decided to be a guest blogger here.

During this time, political blogs will receive the most traffic as Malaysian will be looking for stories, rumors and sex videos :) . After the one from CSL, another one may sneak up soon. I read an anti son of somebody’s blog, and some sneak preview of the video clips were mentioned and shown. This is interesting. Anyway, if you are one of them and also monetizing your blog, this is the time to optimized you content on niche related to politics, be it PAS, DAP, PKR or BN.

Are you eligible to vote this year? After my complain to SPR, everything has been sorted out and I am ready for March 8. Who will Azwan Hadzree vote this time? I don’t know yet as this is my first time voting at a new place. Candidate being fielded is also a factor, not only the party. Previously was at Shah Alam and I voted for … oops .. undi adalah rahsia.

But one problem though, when Pak Lah started his campaign with a lie, will whatever he says during the campaign week be true. If the numero uno can do it, what about his minions? First he said, “Esok tak ada”, but the next day he announced that Parliament has been dissolved. No, I did not made this up, it was reported in the mainstream medias.

Campaign from friends has also started. I received this on Wednesday :

“Jangan cemarkan jari yang mengangkat shahadah ketika solat dengan memangkah calon-calon yang bermaksiat kepada Allah atau yang menyokong maksiat”

So, what do you have to say?

“Jangan cemarkan jari yang mengangkat shahadah ketika solat dengan memangkah calon-calon yang bermaksiat kepada Allah atau yang menyokong maksiat”

very true. I’m so agree with this statement. But mostly today, we can’t (mostly) be really confident on the person we thought was “as above”.

With media and all sort of other way, once in a while, we will found/read/discover something that make us doubt about the person we’ve chosen. (I live in Terengganu and I’ve been there where they were having discussions (ADUN) and believe me, I was really shocked by the way they behaved (not saying anything bad about BN or PAS, just in general, what I observed).

and here is one, but this was in Kelantan. But before you watch this and make your own judgement, it’s better for me to say : Nabi Muhammad menyuruh umatnya bersangka baik, jadi jangan membuat kesimpulan atau menyebarkan sesuatu yang kita x faham/tahu dengan tepat.

Leaders. To be a leader, or more accurately (what we really want) an islamic leader, these such behaviours should never be potrayed. I might never will be in the one-that-try-to-kick’s shoe, but I know if I were him, I’ll never do such things, act membabi-buta, thoughtless.

I’m more impressed with Nik Aziz, to me, He is an example of islamic leader. If I were to vote, I’ll choose someone like him (or more like him) given he is in BN or PAS or other parti, insyaAllah

thanks for dropping by. there was an error with your link to youtube. already fix that.

politics can be dirty sometime … all the time actually .. which really make it difficult to decide.

Raf reply on February 27th, 2008 4:02 am:

maybe, but some people can take it just right, look at Nik Aziz. by far, I haven’t came across any bad news about him (those that considerably good enough for me to read)

azwan reply on February 27th, 2008 10:33 am:

when it’s nearer to the election day, the mainstream medias will have something about him. especially when they are controlled by BN. those who don’t know .. might just believe.

The “opposition” won FIVE states! Unbelievable!!! Maybe now someone can start putting proof to all rumours about misdeeds. I want to know if the rumours are true.

azwan reply on March 12th, 2008 12:08 am:

    Universal Cynic,

There are some acts (not sure which one - too many osa, isa, posa :) ) about government info that must be protected, but maybe they could start digging a little bit here and there and show what they r capable of.

stupid malays go ahead vote for dap and keadilan if you wanna end up like the red indians in the states. living in the middle of nowhere and worship the soil wtf.

azwan reply on March 12th, 2008 12:06 am:

    haha

    1. there’s no red indian in Malaysia
    2. we are living where we want that’s - in Malaysia
    and
    3. maybe you should consider moving out of Malaysia if you dont like the country so much.

  22. titan On

its hard to believe about that. But we know that we really need to believe that fact.

  23. shaw On

I see the results of the Malaysia Election with deep regret. The Malay community in Malaysia has fallen into a deep trap.

As a Singaporean Malay, I cant help to feel discriminated here in Singapore by Chinese people in the workplace as well as in many ways although my government stance is fair and equality to all races. The fact is most Chinese are personally discriminating and prefer their own race in many ways. Its hard for a Malay to get good jobs in Singapore, as most of the bosses are Chinese and they prefer Chinese people to work for them.

I hope the Malays in Malaysia please wake up and realise fast before making a big mistake. Singapore was once part of Malaysia but see what happens now ?

azwan reply on March 12th, 2008 10:15 pm:

it has not even reach one week yet. i don’t think it is necessary to over react. of course the mainstream media has started playing it roles to undermined the election results and the winning parties.

anyway, they promised just for all, let see how it goes.

  24. Universal Cynic On

    @haha

I don’t think the stupid Malays voted for dap and keadilan. Anyone who’s brave enough to change is not stupid. Then again, those who voted for BN are not stupid either.

BTW, don’t be a racist bigot. For the first time ever, the people didn’t vote along racial lines (at least not all). I think that’s a positive development. Where would you rather be? Working along with the Chinese and Indians (and other races) for the prosperity of the country, or stuck fighting about racial rights and end up with no one getting anything?

Maybe, if we get over being racist (all of us), then only can the Malays also joins the Chinese (for example) in the corporate sector without any prejudices from either side. Every one will have equal opportunities in EVERY FIELD.

    @azwan

Well, forget my comment about the rumours. I don’t care anymore. Let the past be the past, except where some of the “diverted” money, if there are any, can be recovered for use to improve the rakyat. The new government in the states should focus more on fulfilling their promises and develop the states. Stability is most important - witch-hunting will only stirs more problems and that’s not good.

azwan reply on March 12th, 2008 10:16 pm:

UC, i think .. for a while, they need to get the states’ debts clear first. BN were over spending.
