Lets Go Phishing … ?

February 29th, 2008 | 23 Comments | Posted in Tools

Phishing, by email, is an attempt to trick and fool the receiver into giving sensitive information such as usernames, password and credit card numbers. Phishing can also be considered as a form of identity theft. They steal your personal information to gain access to your accounts either to steal your money or commit crimes, on your behalf. I thought with so much publicity about phishing, it will just ‘go away’, but it didn’t. This month alone, I received about 4 emails requesting me to login in to the banks that I have no accounts with and also to PayPal for a disputed transaction for an item I didn’t sell nor buy.

From Citibank :

Dear CitiBusiness customer,

it’s really scary but online banking just make life simpler … need to be more careful. the best way is to always log in manually, by typing the address instead from clicking from a link

masuk limewire or ares ke.. type my credit card number or paypal password or wat so ever lah type of info you like… some ppl are too stupid coz they use that name on their doc or .txt format.. in lime wire dia akan detect info camni yang ada dalam user punya pc… if you do it the same… make sure you change it rite now.. you dont even know it someone has steal your info…
