Spammers are really attacking this blog, but luckily I have my Spam Karma with me. I did a manual check a few days back and non of my loyal commentators is affected in anyway. If I did miss any, please let me know. Take a look at the Spams eaten below (end of page) and you will understand why.

Statistics
January started perfectly. Traffic in January hit 19,467, thanks to the politician who got smeared, but last month, it was back to normal at about 8,289. It should reach 10K but February has lesser days compared to other months (excuses 
).
Statistics is from Statcounter. I don’t use AwStats that comes with my cPanel as AwStats will capture all visits which include GoogleBot, MsnBot, Yahoo Slurp and others, and also my own visit to WordPress Admin. If I use AwStats data, then January hits will look like this :
Anyway, after a year of blogging, I noticed that you can get more traffic by
- having a good title
- posting your post at the right time
- and post frequently
I only managed to hit 20 post per month once, that is in September 2007. Why 20, why not 30 or 25? More about this later .

Another interesting post is regarding Withdrawing Adsense Through Western Union. So far, this is the cheapest and fastest way to withdraw Adsense from Malaysia.
And if you are monetizing your website, you should do a review and start to remove all non performing ads. It’s worth it especially if they are competing with the one making you the most.

You’ve produced 4-5 excellent entries which not only I found very useful, but others too.
Well done for reaching your 1st blog anniversary. Maybe after this you can state what is your target? what is your expectation from azwanhadzree.com?
There should be at least some target, otherwise we’re working blindly. Or did I miss out any entry of yours which stated about your goals?
Your Jan traffic was (as I said before), clever. If we can think of something like that at the right time - right sensational issue…that’s very good. But that is just temporary…but it helps to expose our blog.

i try to maintain a certain level of traffic but at the same time i’ll try to ride on what’s hot at the moment. Take for example this month, March 2008. It’s all about Formula 1 and it’s also the time where we play host. Sepang Kuala Lumpur will be hot. That’s another traffic opportunity.
what’s my goal and target?
ha .. ha .. i want to turn Pro Blogger when i retired from the working world and make lots of money from it

I have Alexa previously and it when up to around 140K but now it has go down back to 340K. Maybe I should put it back.
