Firefox Downloaded

The download process was very smooth and fast. I downloaded it as soon as I received the email. Took about 2 minutes to download and another 1 minute to install. Had no problem with my bookmarks either. It stays as it was in the old version.

In terms of speed, Firefox 3 seems a little bit faster, when it is already open, but opening it for the first time, there was some lag. I am not sure whether it is due to the other applications that were running on my pc or not. Not significant but i noticed it. However, I have been installing and uninstalling a few softwares lately. Maybe I should defrag my notebook and see what happens after that.

Compared to the number of people registered, the amount downloaded is about 8 times more. They got more than 8 million Firefox 3 downloads in 24 hours, but it will take another few days before Guinness could confirm it’s a world record.

Anyway, I got some problem with my add-ons. Currently I have 4 installed but only 2 are compatible with Firefox 3.

Even with the add-ons problem, should you get Firefox 3? You bet. An independent study shows that, in 2006, IE users were vulnerable to online threats 78% of the time. Firefox users? Only 2%. It’s the safest web browser and it works perfectly with WordPress.

3 of my addons are not compatible as well. Another problems is that even though newer versions are available, they are not downloaded automatically.

bro nak kena uninstall dulu atau install teros… so dia terus computable dengan bookmark dalam tu??

i do agree with you, firefox 3 is a little bit faster to use, although i didn’t really have any trouble loading it up …. but the add ons are a bit of a problem
