Blogsvertise

4 September 2007 27 Comments

Since I have written the Ultimate Guide To PayPerPost .. ha .. ha .. ultimate? I wrote it, didn’t I? Anyone interested to do a Malay ebook about it? We can do a join venture :) Anyway, since I have written that, it’s only fair that I compare other sponsored review sites with it. Although opportunities from them are enough for this part time pakcik blogger, sometimes those opportunities doesn’t fit in to the topics I blog about. So, it make sense to join other sponsored review programs.

Blogsvertise
Unlike my earlier review, you can’t choose the opportunity you want with Blogsvertise. It doesn’t have a marketplace. You can’t choose an opportunity but instead, they assign tasks to you.

  • The site administrator will match advertiser offers to your blog profile and you have the option to choose or reject the offers. The task will be emailed to you once your account registration is approved.
  • Task must be completed within 5 days from the date you receive the email from them.
  • You entries must be permanent and you can’t delete … forever :( . Then again, why would you want to do that?
  • Payment is also after 30 days and through PayPal only.
  • Most requirements are the same. You must write at least 2-3 paragraphs of approximately 75 words or more and you must link to the advertiser 3 times in your entry. 75 words :) , this is not a sponsored post and it’s already beyond that.

Currently they offer 3 new ways of making money but all these are still in experimental stage :

  • Video ads entries for 20-30 seconds. Premium payouts will be made on these tasks.
  • Text Link ads.
  • Banner. 120X60 or 125X125.

You will be paid monthly for Text Link and Banner.

On average you will receive opportunities that pay between USD4-USD25 and after completing 5 approved tasks, you may contact them for approval of a payout increase. If compared to this one, I don’t like the part where you can’t choose. You have to wait for Blogsvertise to send you the tasks. Sometimes you get 5 in a week but sometimes, in a month, not even one. The only choice you have is accept or reject.

For the time being, join blogsvertise if only you are desperate :(

Anyway, the best thing about blogging is that you can earn money by just writing. You also get to learn about new products and at the same time polish your writing skills. I do admit that making money is still the best part :) . If I can do just 4 reviews a month. For USD15 each, it equals to USD60. Converted to RM, that’s about RM210. There’s a lot you can do with that.

[update : 16 Sept 2007] : Found out from Fahmishah on Blogvertise’s Grab Bag Task. Grab bag tasks are tasks that meet certain criteria and that other bloggers declined or have since expired. You have to visit your blogs list and see whether there is any Grab Bag available. If there is, you can click on it to view all available task and choose the one you like. However Grab Bag tasks are limited to 1 per day and it pays lesser than the normal task.

It’s easy. Check my payperpost review, it should give you an idea about sponsored reviews. The ‘2gb of free online backups’ is an example of a sponsored post.

Say when you have advert in your blog, how you get paid? You get paid when I visit your blog or you get paid when I click the advert in your blog? Which one?

    Reply

azwan reply on September 6th, 2007 2:49 AM:

It depends on what type of advert. Since this post is discussing on sponsored review, I’ll answer based on sponsored reviews.

I will get paid once my review is approved. Approval is usually within a week as long all the sponsor’s requirements are met. Payment is within a month regardless whether you visit my blog or not or whether you click on the link from the review to the sponsor’s website or not.

Unlike adsense where you only make money if someone clicks on the ads.

azwan reply on May 13th, 2008 11:09 AM:

    Hi Anang,

it has been a while since I took any opportunity at Blogsvertise. If i’m not mistaken, the deadline is the same with normal task. Even if it is not the same, when you grab it, blogsvertise will let you know when it’s due.

Anyway, you can only take 1 grab bag task per day.
