Make Money with PayPerPost

PayPerPost dot com

I started making money from the internet by doing reviews as advertise with PayPerPost (PPP). It’s pretty simple and you can do it even with a free blogger account.

What is Sponsored Post?

Basically, you need to do a review for an advertiser about its product or website, and get paid for it. Sounds simple right. Lots of people are already making money this way and as at today there are about 40,000 bloggers on PPP. I think they are the largest sponsored blogging network at the moment. However, doing sponsored post is active rather than passive ….. but what the heck, you still make money. If you have been blogging for ages and not sure how to start making money, you should try it.

There are people who are against the idea of blogging for money but different people have different views, right? If not Irag wouldn’t be at war and there would be peace between Israel and the rest of the countries in the Middle East, and everybody will love Transformers the movie. I don’t know where that come from …ha..ha. Anyway, I am not going to start to defend my decision on making money online or why you should do it too. My blog, my prerogative :) . Do it if you like, and if you are interested, read on.

Basic Requirements. Before You Start.

Before you start, please take note on these few things before you sign up for this program. Their requirement is a bit strict compared to others.

  • You must have a blog to register, obvious isn’t it :) ?
  • It must be in English. A small mixture is still acceptable but primarily it must be in English.
  • It must be at least 90 days old before you can start doing a sponsored post.
  • It must have at least 20 posts within 90 days.

How Does It Works?

  • You need to sign up first with a valid email, Paypal account and a blog.
  • Once your blog is approve, you can start looking for open opportunities. From the list you will know which one is available for you and which is not, and why.
  • Take an opportunity and blog based on advertiser’s requirements. There are certain requirements such as a link to the advertiser’s website, pictures to include, minimum words and tone. Some advertisers require you to write in positive tone which means you can’t complain. Some do ask for a neutral review while some accept anything as long you link to them as requested. There are also advertisers that ask for video post instead of normal text and pictures.
  • Although they may be a lot of opportunities open but you can only take a maximum of 2 opportunities per day per blog. Previously it was 3. You can’t publish all sponsored post in a row, you need to have at least 1 non-sponsored post, with at least 2-3 sentences, in between. Easy. Imagine if you have 2 or more blogs :) … but .. your are treating your blog like a whore if it is all about sponsored post.
  • Payment is send to you via PayPal after 30 days. Once you get paid, you can remove the post if you want to, but why would you want to do that? If the post compliments your blog why not just leave it there. So choose the opportunities wisely because if your blog is all about sponsored post, no one :( would want to visit you.
  • All posts are subjected to their review. They will review and approve your post. If any of your post gets rejected, they still allow you to amend it within 3 days. Previously approval was about 2-3 days but lately it’s much longer. Anyway, PPP loves me. My posts are all auto approve. See ..

Hello Azwan,

Congratulations!! Your post, <deleted blog title> , has been automatically approved based on your high quality performance as a Postie!
Thank you,

The PayPerPost Team

How much can you make doing sponsored post?

The payment can be anywhere between $5 to $1000. Minimum offer is $5 but there are opportunities which pay higher. Mostly are between $5 to $20. I have seen one with $1000 before. But of course, for you to get paid that much, you must at least be somebody in the blogosphere, with a popular niche blog. A high Google Page Rank and Alexa Ranking will help too. Usually free blogs are not applicable for this :( . Take a look below. The opportunities are in read because my blog does not meet its requirements. It requires a PR 6 blog.

Opportunities For PR 6 Blogs

Pros : What I Like About PayPerPost

  • They accept any blogs even the free ones from Blogger.com
  • No minimum traffic requirement, or minimum Page Rank or Alexa Ranking to start with.
  • You get to make money….. money …. I repeat, Money.
  • They pay via Paypal. Who says Malaysian can’t withdraw money from Paypal?
  • Some opportunities may be low in pricing but they make up in quantities, 2 per day. A great way to start for beginners.
  • The guidelines are specific and easy to understand and their support team is just fantastic.
  • They have a wide variety of sponsored posts to choose from and you can choose which opportunities you want to take.
  • Their website is easy to navigate. They have color coding for opportunities that you can take and the one you can’t.

    Legends

Cons : What I Don’t Like About Them

  • You only get paid after 30days. However this is much better than Adsense where the USD100 can sometimes take more than a year to achieve (depends on your blog).
  • You can only start taking opportunities when your blog is at least 90 days old and with 20 posts in between.
  • Although they accept any Page Rank or Alexa ranking, you wouldn’t make much if your rankings are low.
  • Although they accept free blogs like blogger.com, some advertisers limit their opportunities only to own domain blog.

What Else? How can you make more money?

  • Other than sponsored post, they also offer a referral program. You get paid when you introduced your friends. They are paying about USD15 per new member. If you are not a member yet, join here :) .

I think that’s about it.

[Update : 2008-02-19] As of 13 Feb 2008, a blog will need to be 30 days old with a minimum of 10 existing posts written in the 30 days prior to being registered with PayPerPost to be accepted.

I know that there are people that want to make money. I want too. Who doesn’t? Especially when it requires no investment. Not a single cent. But to only do paid reviews, that aint blogging. That’s pimping .. wakakakakaka.

Yes, I mean it when I said not a single cents. This blog, this whole blog cost me USD17 for the first year. The ebook I bought to learn and setup my hosting, domain and wordpress cost me USD15. That’s about USD32 …. paid using the money i earned from sponsored reviews.

But of course, you need to spend some time as this is not passive income.

One more thing about PPP is that when you do a sponsored post for PPP, they dont allow Adsense or any other kind of advertising to be in the post.

This is not a sponsored post :) . Someone asked me before what is PPP and what is sponsored reviews. I hope this helps.

PPP is great but you have to compete with other bloggers to get the opportunity, that I didn’t like. But I do love PayU2Blog, they paid you once in 2 weeks. That is great.

Affuan, kalau tak join lagi. jom la .. and btw, other than sponsored reviews you will also get paid for affiliate. So join using my link ye :) . Once in a while, some advertisers will request for a link instead of a review. I received one before but I have to reject due to the site is all about gambling, pokers and related stuffs. and other than picking opportunities at market place, advertisers may contact you directly to do a post for them and the payment is negotiable.

Syaf, other than PPP I have only joined blogitive and blogsvertise. Maybe later when I can blog daily :)

Abfatah, not sure whether you can do this to replace your day job or not but I know a person (a Malaysian) who has already making USD800 per month and is planning to quit her current job.

I really like this idea of PPP thingy, but I am still refraining from joining until they offer other alternative payment other than paypal. My paypal account was suspended for no reason and there goes my paypal money into the drain… No compensation given.

When I first heard people telling their experience suddenly being suspended by paypal, it never occurred to me it will happen to me until it really did. :-(
