Transfer PayPal Money to your Malaysian Credit Card

30 September 2007 44 Comments

[Update : 26 Oct 2007] Sukeri has successfully withdraw through PayPal with his Public Bank Credit Card. Head over there for details (link below). I too have successfully transfered my PayPal to Al Rajhi. Please refer to that post for details.

Good news everyone. Especially to those who are making money online either through online business or like me, make money from blogging and using PayPal to receive payments. PayPal now allows you to transfer you money in PayPal to any debit or credit card.

Fees, Limits and Requirements

Please make sure that your cards have the VISA or MasterCard logo. PayPal will charge you USD5 for every transactions and it will take 5 -7 business day to complete the withdrawal process. The limit to transfer per day is USD500 while the minimum for each transfer is USD10.

I haven’t try it yet, I have already used up all my fund, so I can’t confirm whether what’s the exchange rate or whether there’s any additional fee or not.

Who have done it?

A few Malaysian are trying it out and so far they have successfully completed the first part. Most of them have confirmed that some of the debit or credit cards can be used ie Public Bank Debit Card and MOL, while AmBank NexG Prepaid Credit Card failed.

The first part is to complete the process at PayPal. I am waiting for them to complete the 2nd part of the process, that is to successfully transfer the money to their cards. I think we have to wait for another 5-7 days for that. Don’t forget to check their blogs. I will update it here as well.

    azwan, all the credit card issued by local bank wont be able to draw from paypal. this is the rules issued by BNM. i think its part of money laundering prevention? but the rule does not effect the debit card . ermm , maybe its time to get a debit account

    Just wait a while, a lot of people are trying. So far we only know that AmBank NeXG got problem and so far none has tried on a credit card yet.

    Anyway, what’s the problem. if you ever found one suitable, just cancel the rest.

    @arrezes,

    you can use public bank debit card for verification and withdrawal. or you can sell your paypal to other buyers but at a lower xrate of course.

    you can still apply for paypal.
