Where’s My Paycheck?

We got a rude shocked from HR last week when the Payroll Executive sent an email that January’s pay is going to be late. Argghh .. the end of the world? How can this be? Every 27th of the month is supposed to be pay day, but this time the actual date wasn’t confirm.

Is this the end of the company?
Is the company going broke?
Is this the time for the big layoff?

I assume that were what most of the employees would be thinking? Will it be late or not getting any at all? Everyone is affected as the email was sent to the whole company. I have been working for this company for almost 12 years already, they can’t just not pay us.

We know that cheap and low quality products from China have a very strong effect on our company’s profit and turnover but ….

Actually, pay was late due to big boss was a bit busy to sign the approval letter for our annual bonus .. and for being involve in the SAP project for the last 12 months, I actually got a bigger share this time. For those working with the government, sorry … your bonus will be used for the coming Malaysian General Election campaign

Anyway, I already have a few things in mind but the first thing I’m going to do is to top up my emergency fund. One of my targets this year is to have at least 6 months of our pay in our emergency fund, but thanks to this bonus, I’m way ahead of schedule.

The 2nd thing is to get a new phone which I put on hold last year. I’m thinking of Sony Ericsson K850i or maybe a Nokia, but I’m not familiar with the latest models. Anyway, what do you think?

Others, ha .. ha .. sorry can’t tell. I don’t want my government friends to be jealous.

On the cosmetic point of view, should I color my hair black? Hmmmm … , but hair coloring is haram especially when the materials used blocks the hair from getting wet. Or should I get my teeth bleach? Something like dentists Jersey, is an option. They are getting yellow as I get older. Sign up for a fitness class? It’s hot currently. I did plan to reduce more weight this year - Projek Lelaki Idaman. I think I should sit down and really think about it. It’s hard earned cash, I don’t think I want to waste it all just like that.

(1) dia akan jeles gila (walaupun dia dapat sama, tapi gaji aku jauh lebih besar)

for the handphone, baik amik K850i tu…lagi terang dan clear photo compared to nokia….Technology cyber shock….

Bonus aku bulan january (1 month) belum sentuh…tu simpan la… Balance bonus depa bagi in March….( hopefully 3-4 months)….then increment, hopefully dpt lah naik RM 350+….

By the way, I still hope the government will give the honororium, so that my wife will get extra cash….

Actually, i already got it.

Saw the K850i just now, wooo! priced at 2199, quite expensive. Checked out Olympus camera as well (yang boleh masuk underwater tu). Planning to get that as well for the next family trip. Apa-apa pun tunggu. Sometimes, before you get the money, there’s a lot of things that you plan to get, tapi bila dah dapat, rasa macam more than wants than needs pulak.

Increment tak tahu lagi. Havent got my letter yet, but it will be together with March pay (inluding arrears )

i dont buy hand phones at the normal stalls anymore. a few bad experience. nowadays i prefer to visit sony styles directly or nokia specialty shop.

yesterday’s news, dalam Metro ke apakenama .. anyway it was reported that hp from china are already in malaysia and you can get a N(something) for RM500 or less. wooo, so damn bloody cheap, but in terms of safety, nobody knows.
