Sometimes when you are blog hopping you may find that some of the things are not new. You already know that and it’s common to you and your friends, and you wonder why some people blog about things that are already common. Common to you but it may be something new to others.  I realiased about this when a ‘fan’ of my other blog asked me about what tools I used to edit the pictures there.

Personally, I prefer IrfanView to others. It has a small footprint but work wonders. Been using it since 2003. IrfanView is fast and small, with extremely low system resources requirements. The program lets you open and edit images, as well as multiple media formats. You can cut and crop images, apply batch conversions, add, sharpen, or blur effects, create panoramas, and change color modes easily. You can even export pictures out from a video easily.

Another tool I found interesting is Webshot. Got to know about it when blog hopping at Blog si Eches. It is a simple utility that gives you the ability to take screenshots of Webpages. The full page. This is useful when you want to make sure your websites look good (from a 3rd party point of view). It allows you to take screenshots from a single site or multiple sites in batch mode.

Both software are less than 1MB which make downloading and installation - a breeze. The best part is, both are Free.
